ready to get that BEACH BOD?

one of my friends from grad school has an aunt who is becoming a spin and yoga instructor for a company called YAS. you've probably seen them if you've driven down abbot kinney in venice or down hyperion avenue in silverlake or even in costa mesa. for the next TWO WEEKS you can attend a yoga, spinning or a yoga/spinning class at any of the three locations for FREE (just as long as you haven't been there before). Just print the image below and take it with you to your local YAS location, you'll fill out some forms and take your class. it's as easy as that!

i just took my first spinning class tonight and i totally KICKED MY ASS!!! i was sweating about 5 minutes into it and ready to throw up by the end... but it was so worth it. i'm going to be feeling in my thighs probably for the next couple of days... but it was really awesome. good, positive and motivating instructors and the whole process was hassel free! it ain't 24 hour fitness!

remember it's only good for the next two weeks! enjoy!

what are you doing this weekend?!

well atleast for a couple of hours. here's a fun little activity to do at home, or at work, or before going to a costume party, or even before going out to complete your ensemble...

MINI MOUSTACHES'

here's what you'll need:

- #6 plastic (look for it at the bottom of your favorite thai food place to-go containers (hint hint: thai thai bbq) or a ralph's muffin plastic container)
-sand paper (grit doesn't really matter, you'll just need to rough up the surface)
-colored pencils, permanent markers
-hole puncher
-string
-scissors
-a blow dryer, or an over (set not more than 200 degree, higher temperature is better, just make sure you don't burn down your house), or a heat gun

or just watch this video:

have a great weekend!

anyone want to do a mini moustache photo shoot?! i think all we need now is aloha shirts, OP cord shorts, and a red ferrari...
